I cannot beilive that there are people out there that do not like this movie. I think that they are narrowminded and all they want is to see mindless action with no plot...dont get me wrong i like the ocassionally romp with guns and cars but theis movie has heart. You can tell that the actors and director put alot of heart into this movie!

Best movie of the 90's - Forrest Gump Reviews

Forrest Gump was one of many that I enjoyed watching over and over again. The fact that it showed the life of Forrest from beginning to pretty much the end. A little seriousness slapped up with humor and emotion, just couldn't get enough. You can see how Forrest reacted to the events that happened many years ago, and how we see it through his eyes. Tom Hanks did an excellent job portraying an semi-retarded character, he does like following his mother's advice. Jenny (played by Robin Wright, not Penn yet) does and excellent job as well. A free soul who just wants more of everything to life, only downfall is that she dies in the end. Lt. Dan (played by Gary Sinise), pretty much made his career as an actor after this. Must see this if you haven't yet, you couldn't believe how many people mock this movie. Hilarious. CYA.
