Magic, tragic, always lovable gump - Forrest Gump Reviews
I had read the book before i'm actually seen the movie. And i must say that this was among the best adaptation (if it's not the very best) movie from a book i've ever seen. In the book, i've always loved Forrest Gump. The one for being a slow-witted, but true to his words, and determined to it (as i've myself never achieved such determination) which gives him a success guarantee to every path he took without even had an overly ambition (except for his feeling towards Jenny - a jerky, unworthy, but tragically disordered childhood girlfriend) which why he would never had his true natural happiness lost in him.
Here, Tom Hanks proves himself as a magnificent actor and he deserves every praise and of-course, an Academy for it. He managed to bring the slow-witted, yet honest Gump to life naturally. The visuals were also entertaining in some ways. And i couldn't give anymore praise of this movie. Than to give it an outstanding mark.
