Forrest Grump is a parable about simpicity and fidelity in an age of pigmies and phonies. Read a book of Zen stories and then watch this movie for the multi-layed social commentary that it is. I rank it as historically one of the best movies ever made. Exceptional eyes-wide-open truth is almost never this much fun and entertaining. JDL
